BRAKES! car jerks to the right, no fluid in caliper

when I hit my brake pedal the car jerks to the right violently. I changed the calipers , thinking one was sticking, but it didnt help. I noticed the driver side caliper had very little brake fluid come out as opposed to the passenger side which gushed out a lot of fluid. Even after gravity bleeding the brakes and having someone step on the pedal and me opening up the valves I couldnt get fluid to the caliper. I;m thinking the line must be clogged.......does anyone else have ideas? thanks.

Your brake line is more than likely collapsed. You'll have to replace it. The rubber one on that brake.

Right... the rubber line to the left brake is collapsed. You need another one.

cool, it looks like I'll be replacing the rubber hose, then moving on up to the metal lines if that doesnt do it, then up to to valve if its still giving me problems.

I had the same problem, but it was easily fixed by doing exactly what everyone is telling you to do.

If you want to learn something, try bleeding the front brakes with the help of a friend pumping the brake pedal. The good side will flow brake fluid out fast, while the bad line will spill fluid out slowly, or not at all.

I recommend changing both sides if you are going to do the job. Also, a very important thing about this: There are Right and Left brake hoses. The difference is very subtle. If you inspect the ends of the hoses, you will see the difference.

Once you attach the new hoses, bleed the front brakes, obviously.
