Why did they switch from single to duel fans???
My car originally came with a 305 TPI and a single fan. Why did they eventually go with a duel fan setup for TPI cars. I don't have any overheating issues, but then again my AC isn't functional right now. I purchased a duel fan setup in anticipation of cooling issues. Does the duel fan setup have better cooling properties and what are the benifits of the duel fan setup. I know that my charging system might not like the load from them but I'm sure there are some issues that I am not aware of as to why the dual fans are better.

the reason for that aside from more total cfm capabilities, is allowing a small fan to run with the a/c on which draws less power than the one big fan. this in turn allows for better gas milage and less strain on the alternator. both fans only would then come on when temperature reaches a setting of too hot.
