Oil filter for non-bypass adaptor

Does anybody have the PN for the oil filter to use when using a non-factory type adaptor that lets ALL oil be filtered? I had read something before somehere (maybe here) about it and there was a specific recommendation of a filter to hold up to all of the pressure. Having a HV pump and full flow through the filter, I think I should be carefull about this.

Has anybody else used this adaptor...and comments?

I always ran one on my circle track car, just used AC filters (PF 1218) never had a problem with 20/50 oil and 75# oil pressure at 6500, some of my buddies used wix filters and had good luck with those too. I think any good quality filter should be ok just stay away from fram and generics. That style adapter is a good thing to have if you're running higher oil pressure, without it at the high pressures you're bypassing the filter. One thing I'm not sure about is if the filter restricts flow too much in cold weather and the bypass is necessary for winter.

I have one of these on my 355. I use it with an AC filter and one of those 5 micron filter screens. Saved my new engine during break-in when the cam went flat. I have used a Fram, but not my first choice either.

My oil psi pegs the factory guage which goes to 60psi, so I figure its between 60 & 80 psi (roughly).

I had my by-pass plugged for a while on my current motor. I used a AC 1218 without any problems. Just keep your foot out of it when the oil is still cold.
