Strange dash noise
Just lately I started hearing a chirping comeing from what seems like the driver side dash. Only when moveing. It sounds like there is a hyper, pissed off hamster squeeking all kinds of obsenities in there. Not real loud, just loud enough to bother me. The chirping speeds as the car moves faster.
Any wild Ideas on this one?

I've found that smacking the offending interior trim piece will sometimes shut it up. Try having a helper ride with you, and have them press and lift and stuff on various locations and panels for the dash, to see if the noise changes or gets worse or goes away, that will help isolate the source of the noise. My radio cover plate on the GTA does some squeaking, it's loose. Fixing the actual problem is a whole different can of worms, though, it could be as simple as a loose dash screw. Does the noise happen if you're in reverse? It could be airflow hitting something....
Or just maybe you really have a live hamster running around in your vents....

Like BRobinson said. You might consider a search. Cleaning and lubing the speedo cable has been discussed fairly often.
