A.C. sqealing bad help!

I dont know where else to post this so here goes. how can i tell if the a.c. clutch is bad or comp. is shot any help is apreciated. thanks!

Major sqealing is usually a loose belt. Check that first. Second, if the AC blows out cold air, then it is not shot. Maybe you just need to recharge it because the lubing oil is built into the recharge, so it would relube your AC system. Just some ideas.

Take the belt off and rotate the compressor pulley. Listen carefully to see where the squeal is coming from....could need a bit of oil or you may have bad bearings.

If you don't hear any squeal then the problem is elsewhere (perhaps the belt, which could either be replaced or have belt dressing applied to it).
