yanking 305 tpi??
yanking 305 tpi??
I am pulling out the 305 tpi and i am swapping in a 350. What kind of manual do you guys reccomend chilton, gm?? and how long do you think it would take to take out the 305? and are there any special tools i need or tricks i should know about pulling the motor out of my trans am

If you just want to yank it out shouldn't take more then 2 days. But what you want to do is label EVERY SINGLE little hose (especially the dozens of smog hoses) or you'll never remember where they go. From what I learned from pulling my LB9 all you have to do is take off the distributor and the motor will come right out. It's not necessary to take off the whole intake.
Remeber to drain the coolant (and from the block itself) and the oil and you should be fine.
