How much HP!
How much HP!
Will I see With this set up?
87 LG4...
Street Dominator Highrise Intake,
Headman Headers-gutted cat-80 series flowmaster,
Open element breather.
MSD coil,dist,8mm wires.
mild cam and lifter set.
Trash all emission crap!
Will I at least see the 14 second range? Or do i need NOS(75 Hp shot) to get there??
Thanks!

There's not enough information to make an informed guess.
What heads? what cam? The ignition stuff doesn't matter. The open element will slow you down comapred to a L69 breather. If you gutted the LG4 cat and left it there, and all your exhaust is still hooked up to it, then at best you've got a fire hose that necks down to a drinking straw.

What heads? What sort of exhaust? Stock covers alot of ground, from 1.74" valve 267 heads to 2.02 valve LT-1 heads and a whole lot in between.... Custom exhaust is meaningless, what size pipes are they, is the OE cat still there with its 2¼" bottleneck, etc.... Also, if this is a 87 LG4, you're a little bit lucky because you have flat-top pistons so your CR is up around 9¼-9½. If you have dished pistons, take about 4-5% off the estimates.
If they're the swirl port 305 heads like what come on TBI motors, you'll be hard pressed to get 250 HP out of the motor no matter what else you do. If they're "better" 305 heads like 416s, you might get as much as 285 HP or so out of it if it's got a maxed out exhaust and a really good (not ncessarily "big") port job on the heads. I can't think of the casting # for the better heads for that year. TPI cars and Monte Carlo SSs had those, I don't know for sure what the LG4s came with.
A stock L69 is very close to 14s, if not already there. You should make it if the motor runs right.

Desktop Dyno 2000 says you have around 275hp with that setup, and this will be pretty accurate, too

Thank you Sitting Bull!! You're a good man!!
I think 275hp and a well running engine with a 75hp shot of NOS will be a very nice setup.
Hey, for an LG4,you can't complain.
I went to GMGoodwrench today and priced the 350HO deluxe crate engine. Only $7,134.00 after Taxes and not installed. Not bad eh!
I think I'll dump 2 grand into the 305 and have similar results thanks!!

Yeah. I priced the ZZ4 aswell and it came to 6,300.00 Before taxes. Way too much cash to spend on an engine IMHO. I think building my own is the way for me. I'll learn a lot more too. I can buy a used SB here for a fraction of the price of a ZZ4. I'll just make sure to do a compression test and swap over all the bolt on's..

Ouch. I priced out a ZZ502 (502/502) longblock at GM for $8600
