oily spark plug on threads

i have an 1989 camaro with trick flow heads, and im getting oil all over the threads. what will cause this. thanks

Transmission: Pro-Built 700r4 w/ 3400 converter

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt w/ 3.42 gears

Is the motor consuming oil? Blue smoke at idle or WOT? Puff of smoke at startup? Could be a lot of things... Just need to get a little more info...

NO SMOKE AT ALL. IT IS HARD TO START A LITTLE AFTER IT WARMS UP THOUGH/

similar problem, but with stock heads, fresh rebuild, less than 200 mi on it. used to blow a puff of smoke on start-up after the rebuild, doesn't do it now, but is consuming oil... level is down about 1/2 qt. (rebuild is on the '91, btw) i have oil on the threads and look a little coked up - not burning "clean". supposedly only problem i had was lean at idle, but doesn't look that way to me.

not jumping on your thread, just wanting to find out the same info...
