valve springs

would i see any improvement in power by installing LT4 valve springs on my vortec heads, but having a cam that has a .460 lift?? i have some laying around and i am wondering if it would be worth it to use them.

I believe they're 1.32" OD, so the spring pockets on the Vortecs would need to be enlarged.

I could be thinking of the LT4 Hot Cam springs though.

Measure them. If they're much larger than 1.25" then they won't fit.

they are larger, and i would need to get the pockets enlarged. but im just wondering if i would get an increase in power or not, just from them.

Not likely, unless your stock springs are so worn out that the valves are floating.

They're bound to be better than stock Vortec springs. As Apeiron hints, anything over 5000 RPMs, you'll see a "power increase" since the valves shouldn't be floating.
