surging problem, how do i pinpoint vacuum leak?
my car surges bad when the rpms drop under 850 or so then dies. i've got the rpm set at 900 in gear and 1150 in park and it doesnt do it but im pretty sure its a vacuum leak causing it. someone made a post advising to spray carb cleaner around the engine to find a leak, sure enough it went nuts and just about died when i sprayed around the heads, but thats still pretty general. how do i go about pinpointing the leak?

will it be visible or is it just a more accurate way of finding where is making it choke?
