Can I install this intake on my Tpi

I was just browsing on ebay and saw this pic of a 85 iroc and wanted to know if I could install one of these intakes on my 87 t/a.

What part of the man do you want? Top or Bottom? I don't know much about TPI, but if that is an '85 then the manifold bolt pattern for the bottom half is different on your '87. I'm not sure, but the top would probably fit on your base.

Yea im curious as well, if so then i could install the homemade ram air induction. Im talking about the Y plastic witht the maf, currently mine is goes off to the left to where the airfilter is...

I don't think it possible. Some local thirdgenners were discussing this and the hood of the Firebird is so different than the Camaro that it would not close with the TPI "dual intake snorkel". I do know that Camaros can use the Firebirds intake (Which GM converted the Chevy's to with the LT1, but to the left hand side), and could possibly flow better. Or at least aftermarket version can.

Yep the y-part of the intake that the air filters are in. Anyone tried it know for sure?

Transmission: struggling t-5/ 4l60E

Axle/Gears: 3.08/ 3.23

Tried it & it does not work. The different bracing of the hoods over the radiator support keeps it from working on a f'bird.

Supposedly, I read it somewhere on this board but Im not sure, but the bellow that the firebird uses is supposed to be worse which is why we have a 5 horse less then the camaro, atleast with the 350's. Not sure if this is true or if it is some other factory we lost 5hp but oh well.
