accel plug wires and edel. header conflict need some ideas!!
alright well I got my headers on and I replaced the wires with accel 8.8 300+ wires. now all the pass. side wires either contact or run very close to the headers, and on the #7 cylinder the strait boot is resting against the primary tube comming off that same cylinder. Can someone please give me ideas on how to route these wires so they don't burn up and short? thanks guys.
On a brighter note. The car finally started after my 305 TBI/350 TPI engine swap. I just wanted to thank everyone so far for their help, it never would have gotten this far without you guys. thanks again.

i'd buy some good wrap for the wires. cost you about 50 dollars or so to protect the wires.

Wraps would be a good idea, I have burnt up 2 wires already, I found that using zip ties help a bit.

Problally the best idea would be to use 90 deg. boots. Thats what I use with my Edelbrocks. They will get very hot, I had my share of burnt wires. So far the 90 deg. ones are working the best.

I use the accel Header Spark Plugs for my car and they are great. Also I would buy the plug wire wrap and consider wrapping your headers in Heat Wrap. I wrapped my headers in the stuff and it is great. It protects my wires and is also supposed to help performance, or so they say.

ecelbrock says that header wrap will void the warrenty so I don't want to do that, I didn't know accel made header wires I thoought they only had that one set. I'll check that out too. thanks.
