Stall out when I stop

I have an 85TA with a SBC 400 that stalls out every time I stop in a hurry. The motor runs great other wise. I have checked for vaccum leaks check the break booster. this only happens when the car is moving it will idle for days and I can put my foot on the breaks with no problem. Does anyone know what this is? Idle is about 650rpm.

Thanks

Does It Also Want To Stall Out Around A Hard Fast Turn? Check You Float Level And Correct It. Other People Have Had The Same Problem On This Board. More Than Likely This Is Your Problem.

Swede,
Do you have a carburetor car? If you do, the float level is critical. If the level is set too low, the engine will starve for fuel. If it is too high, the fuel will leak into the venturi through the jets. If you have a fuel injected car, it doesn't matter because you don't have a float.

If this is an auto tranny check out the torque lockup switch.
