Pulling 305 TBI?
My friend has an 88 camaro and he is trying to pull the motor so he can replace main bearings and do some other mods. We already have all the pulleys and hoses to them disconnected, and fuel lines. What else is there and how do you get to it/unhook it? I know there'll be throttle linkage, an oil pressure line, and some other small stuff. My other questions were what is the best way to get to each motor mount? From underneath or above, from front or back of car, impact or breaker bar? I was also wondering what is the easiest way to unbolt the trans from the motor, I was thinking after I unbolt the motor mounts to jack up the motor a bit and pull it forward and get the bolts like that. I'm pretty sure you can't get to them as it is, at least not from the top.

To undo the trans I use a 9/16 swivel socket, 2ft extension, and an impact. That is how to get to the top bolts. Get to the motor mounts from underneath and use and impact as well. Don't forget you have to undo the exhaust also.
As a future note. Leave the Pulleys and accesories attached unless there is a clearance issue. They are easier to deal with when the motor is out. Label your plugs so you know where they go. Also zip lock bags and a sharpie are a must. Put your bolts in and label them.
IF you miss anything you will know when you start to pull the motor.
