Battery? Alternator? Car Has trouble starting
Recently my car has had trouble starting. Will start sometimes and sometimes not. If it doesn't start and I jump it, it will start back up, turn it off and 15 min later it won't start again. Is my battery not holding the charge? I am getting it tested tommorow, but I want more opinions. I tested the alternator by starting the car and unplugging the negative plug of the battery and it still ran and my lights aren't dimming or anything. So I believe it isn't the alternator. I would just like more input. Tommorow I hope to fail the battery test and hope that a new battery solves the problem.

Put a volt meter across the battery terminals with the engine running and you should see a voltage somewhere between 13.5 and 15.5. If you do, the battery is more than likely done for. Sometimes when your starter motor is giving up the ghost it refuses to turn without a "kick up the butt" from a second battery, but I wouldn't worry about that until the battery test tells you everything you need to know.
