How do I hook-up a mechanical gauge to check my oil pressure?
I think my oil pressure sender is finaly flaking out on my. How do I hook-up a mechanical gauge and check my oil pressure?
The car is an 88 GTA with the L98 engine.

Do you want to check it, or permanently mount an aftermarket gauge? There's two easy places you can check it on the engine. The first is right behind the intake near the distributor on the block. There's a little plug in that you remove and screw in the sender line there. Or you can screw it in in place of your oil pressure sender, which is the sensor right above your oil filter. If you just want to check it then you don't even have to hook up any wires to the gauge. If you want to permanently mount it, then you have to hook up wires to it to make the light work. Also I'd advise that you use a copper line on the gauge if you plan to keep it.
