700r4 tranny lines work with a th350?

I am doing a 700r4 to th350 swap and I just tried to hook up the 700r4 transmission lines to the th350. They do not seem to want to thread at all.

Are the 700r4 lines metric? And the th350 threads standard?

I don't know what else it would be because I have been trying to get these lines to go on for 30 minutes and they will not go.

Sorry mods...I meant to post this in the Transmission/drivetrain section.

call bowtie overdrive,s they have th350 lines, besure you hook the correct line into the correct position (fluid in/fluid out).
