Swaybar disconnected!
I was replacing my transmission this weekend and while I had the car jacked up, I noticed that the rear sway bar is completely disconnected on one side. The bushings and the nut that hold it on are missing. I have been noticing a clunking type of noise while making sharp turns at low speed - like a 90 degree turn into a parking lot. Do you think the rear sway bar being disconnected could have been causing this?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it is likely that the sound was caused by this.
When I bought my car, the sway bars were connected but the rubber bushings were totally eaten away so the sway bar links were just rattling there. ANd the car was handling like a duck in corners. Scary. Put new links on for a few bucks and now she drives like a champ!

yeah, my car made some loud clunking/popping noises when my end links broke. just get some new ones on there, and everything should be fine.
