Cruise control question
What are the differences between cruise control cables and equipment over the years? Are they all interchangeable? Are any of them interchangeable?

Car: 82 Berlinetta/57 Bel Air
Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
Sometime between early and mid 3rd gen they went from the speedometer cable driven govenor to ECM VSS driven servo. I believe it was '84 or '85.
Outside of that, I don't know of differences. I know the '86 servo from my donor car, the '87 servo from an LB9 I picked up, and the servo in my '84 full-sized van were all identical.
