broke off fitting in intake help please!
ok so today i went to replace the piece of heater hose that goes into the back of the intake manifold since it was leaking
i wentto take it off, and snap the fitting broke, so damn, i take a socket and try to take out whats left, only to have it snap off flush with the intake? how the heck do i get this out so i can get a new fitting for it??

I'd heat it with a propane torch, in the area surrounding the fitting, and melt some candle wax on there, then just turn it out.
In most cases it works like magic, especially when a bolt or fitting is seized in aluminum.

Problem is, the fitting is some kind of chinesium, and has largely turned to dust. Happens to that particular fitting all the time. It seems to spin off right at the end of the threads. There's nothign left to try to back out, because it will just continue to disintegrate.
ede's suggestion (drill & tap) is really about the only way to do it right. Not too difficult or painful at all really, once the intake is off. I don't know whether you can get to it with a drill while on the car, or not; I suspect not.

yeah the whole fitting prety much crumbled in my hands. after routeing through the pipe fitting drawer at the parts store, i found one to fit the bill, got a tap for it, drilled out what was left of the old one, that kinda turned to dust when i did it (hey it made it easy) so i taped the new hole, threaded the new hole, used plumbers tape, and threaded it down in there, fit like it was made for it. not a leak to be seen either.
edit, btw, this was all done without removeing the intake from the car.
