manifold leak
i was with my mechanic today and we noticed that i had coolant oozing onto my block from the manifold, and also that there was a sludgy oil residue on the block by the heads, which was smoldering and causing a little bit of smoke. we figured i have a bad manifold gasket, has anyone experienced this problem? at this point i should buy a new edelbrock performer manifold right? how much work am i looking into doing? thanks

I take it you have the Rochester 4bbl on your Z. Replaced my OEM intake manifold on my 86Z28 with an eldebrock. Took me 3 hours. Make sure you label all the wires/hoses and vacuum pipes. It should be that hard since it is a 4bbl and not a TPI.
