i just bought my 88 camaro iroc with 305 tpi, and for some reason, wheni accelerate from below 2000 rpm, the car feels as though it misses(surges)2 or three times, only at low rpm.
If it helps at all, it also takes about 2 seconds to idle down after i push the clutch in.
any help??

 

I would check the condition of your plugs and wires. My car had a similar problem turned out one of my wires was laying on a header and burnt through.

i will be having a look at the wires but i don't think it is them

 

I'll second the plugs and wires, you should change them anyway if you just bought the car. Change your fuel filter and o2 sensor also, some people never bother with simple things like that, and they can really hurt the performance of your car.
