Spark plug help

Ok... i need to get a new set of plugs, and i need a little help deciding on which brand to get. i have dart iron eagle 180 heads, and hedman lt's, and when i use the regular delco plugs, two of the plugs hit the headers. it's not even an issue with the plug boot hitting the headers, it's the plugs themselves. so i went with the accel shorty plugs. what a POS. at first they run fine but after a while they start to loose their spunk... car doesn't idle right and doesn't run as good. anyone have any ideas on what plugs i could get that are as short as the accel shorty plugs, but better? im running 9.6 to 1 compression, so i think i'd have to go with 1 heat range colder than stock right? if anyone can help me out here (especially with part numbers), i'd appriciate it thanks for the help

I ran into the same problem, i finally had to dimple the headers slightly to make everything work right. If you decide to dimple just take your time and go slow, so you don't crack the tube.

When the Accels started making your car run poorly, what did the plugs look like? If I were to guess I'd say they were too cold for your engine, started fouling up with carbon and as a result you started getting misfires.

na, i need to use shorter than stock plugs... i wont be able to dent the header without doing some damage to get the plug and the boot to fit without getting burned.

the plugs looked normal... mostley grey, but you could tell it had a SLIGHT miss. i just need to figure out what kind of plugs are the same size as the accel shorty's, but better, and what heat range to get them at. the goofs at discount or pep boys won't know how to help me lol
