My friend and I went to the store to get starter brushes for his '91 camaro(v8). They guy said that they didn't list them for a '91 but they did for a 90 and 92. We got those to see if they would work.

When we took his apart and it looks like this one can't be rebuilt, they Haynes manual says unbolt the brushes or something like that, this starter's bushes are solidered or something.

Has anybody else had this problem? We got a new starter today but if we can figure out how to put new brushes in the old one we'd rather do that.
