foglight bulb options

I looked through the search. I have an 86 sports coupe, I have the silver star headlights, they are great. Are the bulbs for the foglights just as good? As far as bulbs go( brightness) any suggestions for the foglamps?

If you have glass lamp housings (like the Pontiacs) and correct wiring/relay, you can install H-3 halogen bulbs. Oncoming drivers don't appreciate them if they are not aimed corretly, however, so do a complete job and check the aiming as well. IIRC, the OEM lamps are either 35 or 55W. I've got 100W in mine. Forget about the "blue" colored lamps, too. They don't add any light.

I had cool blue headlights, I changed to silver stars, the light is so bright and white if I shut the car off and leave the headlights on, they do not dim. The silver stars make my cool blues look light a regulars headlight. My foglights look yellow when I turn the headlights on! H3 a direct bolt in?

UH OH!!!! I was not happy with the 55W so I also used 100W. It says on my bulb package that they were for off road use only. I guess I am not the only one who will have to look out for the light bulb police.
