Im installing alluminum heads on my 305 TPI!!! please read inside, need info!!

tomorrow im putting the 305 TPI together, Im putting the corvette alluminum heads on and i just ordered ARP bolts w/ washers. My question is this, anyone know what what the torque numbers are?? when i install the bolts on the heads, should i use some type of sealant, for ex. lock sealant anti seaze sealant, what should i use to get a good torque reading the bolts???. ONe more question anyone who has done this, is there anything i should look out for, before i do this, everything is from an 87'-88 parts, look at my sig. thanx

IIRC, the torque is 65 ft lbs.

Use Loktite brand PST liquid sealant with teflon on the head bolt threads.

"what should i use to get a good torque reading the bolts???. "

A torque wrench.

To add to what Engineboy said, use ARP moly lube on the headbolt washers...both sides. This cuts down the friction during torquing and gives a more accurate reading.

Torque in 3 steps following a circular pattern...first time with the torque wrenche set at 1/3 of the total torque, 2nd time at 2/3 of the total torque, and last time at the full load (65lb/in as Engineboy stated sounds right).

Seems like my last ARP head bolt kit came with an instruction sheet that included the pattern and torque value, but it's been a while.
