Electric Water Pump on the Street?
Electric Water Pump on the Street?
How long would a good electric water pump last on the street with mild usage (maybe 50-75 miles a week)?

A high end big dollar one should last a couple of years. Like any electric motor it will eventually wear out and need to be rebuilt.
The bolt on electric motors (Moroso) used to drive a water put are drag race only.
Just invest in a good aluminum water pump. It will be more reliable on the street. At least if your alternator fails, the water pump won't quit from lack of power.
The HP saving from using an electric pump on the street doesn't justify the extra cost of the pump.
