The one in the driver side head is the temperature gauge sender, you don't need it if you don't care about the gauge working. The other one is the temperature sensor for the ECM. You need that one, or you'll never make it out of open loop.

Code 43 is a knock sensor error, I believe. It will be set if the ECM doesn't hear a knock at WOT while hot, or if knock is present for 5 seconds during normal operation, like would happen if the sensor was disconnected.

knock sensor is in. tryed the 305 and the 350 knock sensor, still getting the same code. when the car gets hot it starts 2 surge - loop a lil bit, it acts like it has a big cam. i was thinking i need a 350 computer. tryed 21 injectors this morning it helped a lil........ MAybe. the esc is in the computer on my 91 car correct? anymore ideals

one more thing, if temperature sensor for the ECM wasnt hooked up. the one on the right side of the head, would that make it surge - loop?
