LOL. Well I was cleaning the internals of my MSD distributor before I reinstall it because there is surface rust on a gear type thing on the shaft, on a little piece that reads when each point passes it that is part of a magnet thing that has wires that run to the ignition module. Anyways I notice the magnet thing is cracked down the middle so I figured I need a new one and am trying to locate one. Im guessing its a magnetic pick up but cant seem to find one.

Ok. Its a MSD PN 8366. Heres a few pics and it shows the cracked magnet. What problems does a cracked magnet cause cause I had vacuum issues previous to removal and from my understanding a miss could cause low vacuum. I checked MSDs site but it appears Ill have to call them.

Anyone have an opinion on the damage and the effects it may have?
