Is this a good cam to go with? Opinons Please
I have a LO3, looking to put a better than stock cam. I have found a CraneCam for a TPI, would it be ok in a TBI? 500-400 RPM
Here are the specs.
Degrees Duration @ .050 Int./Exh. 184 204 (Stock is Int./Exh. 179 194)
Degree Lobe Separation 108 (Stock is 109)
Gross Lift Int./Exh. .384 .429 (Stock is Int./Exh. .350 .384)
Do you think it'll be ok to use with all my stock lifters, springs ect.. Would I need to change the ECM chip? Thanks

That looks like fairly stock replacement type cam by the specs.
If you really want a power inprovement over the stock cam you might want to look into a cam with 208in 214exh @.50. At least someting in the 200's @.50.

EDIT: Your ecm will work fine with any mild/mid cam. Your stock spring if they are in good condition will also work with a mild cam. Your should have a roller cam as your current stock setup. If I were you I would jusr replace the cam everthing eles should be fine unless your valve train is currently in need of work.

Thanks SSC.. I'm happy to know my ECM will probably be good for mild hop-ups.. When I do the cam, I'll look at the rest of the valve train...
