carb float bowl empty in the morning

why is my carb totally drained when left for a day? where do q-jets leak? what should i epoxy?

check this out guys, even bikers hate ricers...

The bowl plugs are leaking. They are located on the underside of carb to the center rear of the throttle plates. If you don't intend to overhaul the carb again you can clean the wells real good and fill them with JB weld that will stop them from leaking otherwise there is a kit made for repairing them last time I got one they were 36bucks and came with the throttle shaft repair also

uhhh, i do have to remove the throttle body right? so i should epoxy the underside of the floatbowl? i'm assuming they're the protrusions of the primary jets... am i right? does anyone have a picture so i'll know exactly what to epoxy. tnx ppl

Yes you need to pull the carb and turn it over, remove the base plate to get to the plugs.

There are 4 plugs under there that need a little coat of JB weld on them, dont put too much or the base will not tighten down correct and flat against the body of the carb.

Also, make sure you have the correct fuel filter, they make the long style in 2 versions, one with a anti drainback valve in it and 1 without. You want the one with

Sometimes this will cause the bowl to drain.

thanks, i'll do that today, it seems the fuel level drops below the fuel inlet, so i guess that eliminates the drainback issue.
