peddle easier to press when car off??
i noticed today, that while my car was off, and i pressed the gas peddle, it was really easy to push, alot easier to press then when the car is running. cause when the car is running its hard to keep it at a constant speed because of the peddle pressure. but car off, its realy smooth, does this have something to do with the TV cable connecting to the trany, and when the car is started then there is more tension on it?

Engine vaccuum is holding the throttle blades shut. Once you break the "seal" the pedal is easily moved. If you're having a hard time holding a constant throttle position, try adding a helper spring. Just a regular old carb throttle spring attached somewhere on the motor to the throttle lever on whichever side makes it easier for you (spring either helps it open or helps it close so you have to push harder). You may or may not have to drill a small hole depending on what you hook the spring onto. I notice cars with hard pedals are easier to hold an exact position because you can put some muscle into it.
Totally normal. The throttle plates are offset on their shafts so that manifold vacuum and air flow apply a gently closing force to the throttle shaft. This is a safety feature and has been used for decades. It helps make sure that if the throttle cable snaps or the return sping lets go (like in an accident or just from old age) that the throttle CLOSES instead of staying open, possibly sending you on a wild ride.
