383 crank question?
I have a cast steel Eagle 383 crank w/one piece rear main seal and Im having a problem. Does the crank itself stick further out the rear main seal adapter than stock? Reason I ask is beacuse I did my 383 build up this winter and the pressure plate rubs my clutch fork on my T56. It did not on my 350 L98. I did check the T bolt and it is tight. I did buy a new T bolt and fork hoping that wear is the problem but I dont think it is. So I was thinking that my new 383 crank sticks out further than the 350's causing this "misalignment?" Anyone have this problem? I measured it at 3 10th's of a inch past the seal/one piece adapter. Is this about right? Anyone have there motor out right now that could measure it? Thanks in advance.

I did not notice any diffrence on mine, the only diffrence should be the stroke. But mine is auto. I have my old L98 on the floor in the shop, I'll try to mesure it tonight.

If were measuring the same thing, mine sicks out about 3/32 of an inch more than yours then, odd?
