Timing problem

I have a small problem. It seems as though my car runs different every time I start her up. She's got 103,000 miles and runs smooth sometimes, and others, she seems to run...I don't know...kind of uneven. Could this be a timing problem? Maybe it must needs adjusted? Do I need a timing chain?

Does ANYONE have any input on the subject?

It's not the timing in all likelyhood. Beg borrow or steal a scan tool. Intermittent drivability problems are always some engine sensor getting flaky and lying to the ECM. You can't diagnose much without seeing things as the ECM sees them.
