check engine code...and other problems
24. Circuit fault in vehicle speed sensor
Just put a new trans in and dont have the speedo hooked up. This wont cause any problems with how the car runs will it?
Also my car idles fine but the engine shakes a bit much at idle, and when you get over 3000 rpms it gets a vibration but its not a solid vibration its the feeling of something turning over. Has a brand new tranny and the u-joints are fine. Had this problem before the trans swap. Its coming from the engine im thinking probably fuel pump? or would it be ignition related? I have checked fuel pressure at idle before but dont know how to do it properly at rpm...just rev the car up? help i just spent over 6000 on my car and it doesnt run.

There are several speed-dependent parameters in the programming that may affect the operation. Of course, there is the TCC lockup for the transmission, but also fan turn off, decel fuel cut-off, idle RPM off limit, knock sensor enable, EGR and EVAP purge operation, and probably others I can't recall.

aww crap are you serious
so how can i run my L98 with an electric speedometer with a transmission that has a mechanical speedo???
and how would the tcc lockup effect my car considering its now a manual transmission?
And about the vibration problem.....what sort of fuel pressure am i looking for at higher rpms? and do i just hook my gauge up to the nipple and pull up the rpms and see if i lose pressure?
