I hollowed out my cat and now I get code 32 at closed loop (or maybe open I always forget which is which). should I put a pipe in the cat? what hoses should I check? how much is a new egr anyways?

Had the same thing in '90 vette. Was like chasing a ghost. Changed sensors, etc. Apparently, the car runs some sort of self-diagnostic; and with the combination of age, free flowing exhaust,etc- the computer wasn't responding "fast enough" to these tests. After talking with several GM reps and corvette and performance shops, I just got a chip from Ed Wright that deleted the test and therefore the code. However, before you just delete it- have it tested and make sure all is functioning well.
This is just what I've heard/done- thought I'd pass it along.

Replace your gutted cat with a new one from Car Sound, Catco, or Random Technology, etc. The fine for gutting or removing your cat is up to $10,000 and/or jail time, if you get caught. And it'll make your code 32 go away.
