You'll only need the smog delete, if you're taking of the smog pump.

No wonder there is a massive cloud hovering over cali. All you hot dogs seem to need a few tenths more than clean O2.

Two questions:
Why do you want to ditch the AC when you live in cali?
Why not fix your leaks with the $ instead?
Not flamin' It is just that the gains from ditching that stuff are really pointless on a street car. Not to mention that "I know a guy stuff" can get you both in deep $$$hit when caught.

i dont know about ac delete. i just know that they make a pulley to keep ur setup the same. as far as the smog pump. its directly below ur ac compressor. and that box u asked about is part of the same system. u can literally unbolt the pump, pull out the plumbing; the only thing is u will need to get sum plugs for ur manifolds (local hardware store). and ur set... i dont wanna get into the bicker over smog... but it was easy. oh and u'll need a 96.8" long 6 rib belt. this tech article is where i got my info when i did it. https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...rpentine.shtml

do a to find out exactly what size plugs to use in ur manifolds. i got all my info from these forums...

If your deleting the A/C, have the system discharged, remove all the A/C related stuff, put the A/C delete pully in place, and your done...

No... Its basically an airpump. The ECM, which controls the air diverter valve, diverts air either to the manifolds, cat, or the ambient air. The air to teh manifolds reduces emmisions when the engine is cold, the air to the cat helps reduce emmisions when the engine is warm and at low loads. High loads, higher rpms, the air is exhausted back out to prevent damage to the cat.

i forgot to mention the air tube to the cat. i dont know the correct way (if there is one) of capping this or blocking it off. but i cut it off close to the cat, then heated and crimped it. however i did this with it off of the car. good luck and have fun.
