New dist gear w/cam swap?

I was reading the cam paperwork to my 292xfi cam and they said to run a new dist gear with a new cam....this is the first I've heard of this...we didn't do this with the zz9...any input would be great...thanks!

yeah they are cheap anyways its just a pin holding the gear in as well

...do you just hammer out the old pin...do they give you a new pin with the new gear? Thanks for the info!

Drive the old pin out with a punch. As long as you don't mange to mangle it somehow, just reuse it.
