Vortec Heads???
Vortec Heads???
I have a roller 350 that came carburated and I was told that the heads might be vortec. I was wondering, how do I tell. He could probably tell me when he gets a chance to look at them but I dont want to wait. I looked up the casting number on them and found that it said that they were 87-? (I dont remember when) and that they had 1.94 and 1.5 valves. I dont know any more than that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the bolts holding the intake manifold to the heads. If you have two in the front and two in the back (4 total) on each side, they are Vortec. Regular heads have 6 bolts on each side.
