Car won't go into Park
Today after driving I pull into the driveway and it wont go into Park, its like it's in neutral. Works ok in Drive and Reverse, except it jumps a little when putting it in Drive. I thought that might be a tranny mount, but could that be a bad cv joint and would that keep it from going into Park?

There are no CV joints in 3rd gens, just U joints. (you didnt state what kind of car, so I'm assuming)
If the cable isn't binding and the lever is moving all the way to the park position...it could be the park pin broke in the trans.

I'd jack her up and go under (safely) and physically push the linkage to park and see. If it's not locking the back tires, drop the pan and check the park rod, It travels alongside the valvebody from the linkage to the back, where a mushroom cam pushes a 3/8" think or so chunk of metal into the case to engage it to lock it, you could check and see if anything snapped or wore off it. I believe (off hand) it's roll pinned in and has a spring to force it into the case. Maybe something came undone. Otherwise it's difficult getting into there to take things apart, but can be done w/o dropping the v/b.
