Lingenfelter 219 cam w/ what heads?

A friend of mine is selling me a 350 4 bolt roller motor shortblock that has stock crank and rods with Keith Black hyper pistons. He's also selling pro magnum comp cam 1.6 rockers and roller lifters. I'm looking at the Lingenfelter 219 cam but dont know what heads to go with. I'm looking for 9.5 or 10:1 compression due to it being carbourated. Me mentioned that if I put 64cc heads on there, it would be about 11.5:1 compression, and that I should go with 76cc heads. Any suggestion for heads? Anyone else running this Lingenfelter 219 cam?

So the motor has dome pistons? If they are flat-tops with a 64 cc chamber will put you right in your desired compression range.

Probably...I'll find out for sure. Knowing him, being a hardcore racer, I bet they have a dome.

I'm running a 383 with the Trick Flow heads and the 1.46 duel spring .600 lift springs. Also using the 219 cam with the 1.6 Pro Mags and a LTR setup. Its a nice running car.

Just my opinion but if you go with the 219/219 cam you will need a set of heads that will flow quite well on the exhaust side.

When I had the 219 I used AFR 190 heads milled to 58 cc for 9.8-1 CR. It was a nice street setup that got me easy mid to low 12s.

that cam was designed for the LPE L98 ported vette heads which have a very high e/i flow ratio. very nice heads but too expensive imo unless you find a great deal on a used pair like i did.
