Prime Engine (turn oil pump which way) ?

when primeing engine with tool, on sbc 350 if that matters (doubt it) do you turn it forward or reverse on drill, clockwise or counterclockwise, thanks.

cw is all i ever used since my biggest 2 drills don't reverse. most drills don't have enough *** to move the oil. on a SBC if you fill the pan with oil the pump will prime it's self. if you use assembly lube during assembly you'll not have problems with dry strats, the oil will get where it needs to go. priming a SBC is mostly a feel good thing for most people.

wow, thanks for the info, engine was built by a machine shop and it was mentioned he uses the good asembly lube but its been like 8 months sitting in my garage since i got it so ya just a feel good thing i suppose illl prime it ;0
