I NEED ****ING HELP MY 90 5.7 IROC HAS LOST ITS *****!!!!!!!!
first it wouldnt idle, so i changed my EGR valve.
Then, i fixed it and it idles fine, but when i drive it, it has no power, won't go over a certain RPM, and kicks in and out of gear real hard, and sounds like something in the exhaust is clogged. HOWEVER, i was told the CATS may be clogged so i installed brand new let me repeat 300 dollar DUAL cats and the exhaust shop looked in the exhaust and it was all free so its not the exhaust. WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH MY CAR!!!!!!!!! HELPPP ITS MY DAILY DRIVER AND IM SICK OF GETTING RIDES EVERYWHERE!!!!! THANKSSSSSS

i have no idea, i imagine its getting enough fuel, its got brand new gas lines and fuel filter on it. perhaps its a computer problem when i changed my EGR????????

your pump might be goin bad....
check pressure.

My guess is the pump as well... I know, I've gone through it THREE times in two Firebirds

how do i check the fuel pump pressure
where is the fuel pump anyway?

 

Pump is in the tank.Rearend and exhaust need to be out of the way,first.

 

noooooooooooooooooooooooooo damn this sucks is there any way i can check to see if the pump is bad or how can i check if im getting any fuel pressure?

hock up a fuel presure gage to the sharader valve on the fuel rail. it should read 40 psi if its any thing less u need to replace your pump

pulled the 350 to make way for the 406 wich is in the machine shop. got a comp 282S bump stick with 1.6 rockers. looking at differnt heads right now.Perfomer RPM and holley 650 DP, headers and 3 inch exhust. 3000 stall converter and a built 700r4. shotin for mid 12s next summer
