Getting new toy-how much power?

Im going to be buying a 84 Camaro Sport Coupe in about a week and have a couple questions about the motor. Its a 1986 LG4 longblock, CompCams XE 262 cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Edelbrock 600cfm carb, Hedamn shorty headers and Y-pipe and will utilize a dual snorkle aircleaner. How much power do you guys think this motor is making? Also, how quick do you think it would run in the 1/4 in a sportcoupe with no options other than T-tops, TH350 trans with transgo shiftkit, B+M holeshot 2000 converter, 3.23 gears? Also, would a non ccc Quadrajet be a better choice for this motor? Thanks in advance.

I'd estimate about 200 horsepower and a low 15 second 1/4 mile pass.

Depending on how much work the heads have had done to them, that could be anywhere from 230 to 250 HP. It sounds like a decent combo; several people on this BBS have something similar, and get good results. So I'd expect it to go probably mid-high 14s, maybe 14.7 or so, maybe faster if the car's been on a diet.

You'd have to put on an adapter to use a Q-Jet on that intake. I doubt it would go any faster with that, but might get better gas mileage, but any of that would depend greatly on the particular carb you use. IMHO a Holley 600 or 650 with manual secondaries would probably be the fastest way to go.
