v-belt to serpentine
I was wondering if there was any advantage to switching to serpentine belts??? How hard would it be if you had all the stuff to switch it??? Since the alternator and the AC are switched, could you just switch them back since they are about the same size and stuff??? thanks.

sethirdgen has a pretty good article on it. Can't recall all the ins and outs or the bennies offhand, but I'd imagine drag, longevity and consistancy would be factors in there somewhere.

I did it a couple of months ago.... it's pretty easy and definately worth the work. If you ever have to remove any accessory, it is 10x easier to do with the serp. and if you are having any problems throwing belts, the serp conversion will solve that. A big factor for me was that whenever I had to remove my headers or anything else, it was like solving a rubix cube working with all those vbelt brackets. I just lengthened all the wires running to the alt and ac since they are on the other side.... took an hour or two to solder them. I like the ac being on the pax side so you don't have all those ac hoses running across the front of the engine.
