HOW MUCH FOR A VALVE SEAL JOB!?!?!?!

A 92 RS V8 5 Speed is for sale for 3000 it needs a paint job and a valve seal job. How much would it cost to get those damn valve seals fixed!?!?!?!?!!?

best to call a shop in your area than ask here since labor rates vary, but i'd guess 4 hours flat rate and 25 dollars for parts.

It only cost me 120 for a complete valve job with three angles on the valves and new seals installed.

When i had my T/A heads done they got me for $300. That included 3 new valves as well. I had new valve stem seals and all the valves properly seated (don't know the term), cleaned and all that jaz. I live in NJ so it cost me a lot more that it would out west.

On a 305 T/A the dealership wanted $540 to replace the valve stem seals. I ended up doing it myself but already had the TPI and intake manifold off to fix a bad oil leak. The cost of seals was less than $20 but it was a major pain to do and I don't know if I could have done it without that other stuff out of the way. Good luck.

yea I had the heads off the car and a cheep but good machinest.
