Whos running an Accel Superram?
I'm wanting to know how happy people are with this intake?
Some Questions:
1. Can I run stock TPI ECM with a custom prom to achieve good power accross the board?
2. Do you have to run Accels computer set up with this intake?
3. Do all Superram upper intakes have a PROVISION for an EGR valve?
Thanks so much. --Dan

1. Yes
2. No
3. The upper doesn't have the EGR, it's on the lower intake (base).
I had a Superram for years...Overall I liked it for a stout street car, I ran mid to low 12s with it. 2 things I hated about it was price and the PITA installation.
Do a search and you'll find some good tips on installing one.

Price and ease of installation!
Not to mention ease of maintenance. I can have the injectors off in 15 minutes.
Above all I was looking for more top end than the Superram (which I got). I wish the Stealtram would've came out back in 1997 when I first bought my Superram.
If you need to pass smog then the Superram is the best (and only) smog legal intake setup.

What would you say the RPM limits of the Accel superram intake are? I mean lets say I have a cam that would make peak power at 6000rpm with a carbed intake. With the Superram I'd be looking at a somewhat lower HP number at WHAT RPM?

It would be hard to say, but generally the superram's biggest advantage is making nice midrange torque throughout the powerband without much lowend torque loss.
If you need power past 6k rpms you can port the entire superram setup as others have done here or go to a short runner intake like the stealthram or miniram. A lot depends on engine size, cam, head flow and intended vehicle usage....
