weiand 7546 vs RPM
Which intake is better for street/strip car which has bigger cam, 2500 stall converter, long hedders, 3.42 posi, ported 601 heads, 600 cfm carb??? The price is almost the same but one is single plane, other dual plane......
Thanks

The RPM is going to be better on the street. On the strip you probably won't see much difference on a 305, although the RPM will probably have a slight advantage out of the hole.
If you get enough cam to make the X-CELerator better, you'll be short on stall and the RPM will still be better in the real world.

I agree , you'll be much happier with the RPM intake on your combination.
A RPM intake combined with a 750cfm carb will make even more top end than a 7546 and a 600 on your motor.
It will have more average torque (power) all the way throu the usefull rpm range too.
A 750 is not too much.
take a look at the
Dyno test on this simple 305 buildup. with peak power at over 6000 the RPM intake has loads of top end.
