Best/Biggest Roller cam with NO head work?

Due to my budget I don't want to have to put screw in studs or have the heads machined for bigger springs. better spring are cheap so thats not a problem I figure I can get 1.25 springs good for.500 lift. will pressed in studs be good for .500 or should I stay around .480. What is the best roller cam for my needs?

with the 500$ plus your going to spend on a roller setup you really need a new pair of heads, the stock 1.74/1.50 valves dont flow anything and the high lifts of the rollor cams will pull the studs right out of those heads, i would spend the money on a pair of the world heads, there a excellent setup and will handle the flow of the roller cam.

considering the extra expense of a roller you can buy a biger cam, lifters, larger springs and retainers and get the machine work done for the springs and screw in studs.

...or purchase a milling cutter (carbide deep hole cutter - $42.00) and 7/16-14 tap ($7) and do the spring/stud work yourself.

vader have you ever used one of them cutters? i paid close to 100 dollars for mine and it isn't worth messing with. they make it look and sound easy in the catalog but it isn't. anymore i set my heads up on a mill and mill the boss down for screw in studs. i tihnk mine is made by manely.

Okay I didn't mention that it is already a roller motor with roller lifters(88TPI). So I am assuming that all I have to buy is a cam and springs to do the swap.

My suggestion would be a Comp 264HR-12, it's their grind # 08-302-8. Definitely upgrasde to their recommended valve springs. With those (part # 981 IIRC), you shouldn't have any trouble with your existing pull-out studs.
