sounds different?

I just redid the intake man. gasket and now the car sounds a lot louder and sounds like it has like a hot cam or something. The engine us just a stock lo3 tbi. Could it be the timing? I might move the dist. time a little

Timing, a vacuum hose you forgot to plug back in, or you plain screwed up installing the intake gaskets.

It was the dist. gasket. There was a oil ring around it. Sounds a lot better now, but it still mis fires a bit. Is this the timing or something?

u should check the timing as soon as it is put together, the distributer, at least mine, is touchy a little bit off and it will miss, mine is at 4* adv. and it misses once in awhile, stock timing is 0*btdc. hope this helps

Likely a vacuum leak. Why guess? Hook up a gauge and see.
